practice plans

What we work on in practice

The skills for beginning players to acquire/work on during practice, by week (based on three practices per week) are listed below. These plans were set out for first and second grade ages but can be adapted to any group of newcomers.

We try to get the kids playing some type of "game" on the field as quickly as possible. This takes some of the drudgery out of doing repetitive drills.

Please note this is a "plan" for young children. The only thing harder to teach than 20 six-to-eight year olds might be a group of 20 pets - therefore these plans should be subject to change depending on the coach and the group!
